Ptfe Heat Shrink

Advantages of Ptfe Heat Shrink

 

 

High temperature resistance

The working temperature is up to 260℃, while the working temperature of ordinary heat shrink tubing is usually between 1255~135℃.

Corrosion resistance

It is inert to most chemicals and solvents, and can withstand strong acids, alkalis, water and various organic solvents.

Weather resistance

It has the best aging life among plastics.

High lubricity

It has the lowest friction coefficient among solid materials. Non-adhesive: It has the smallest surface tension among solid materials and does not adhere to any substance.

High shrinkage ratio

Production process

 

PTFE resin, extruder → Mixing → Storage → Preforming → Pushing → Drying → Sintering → Cooling → Heat treatment → Blowing → Cooling → Product. 

 

 

Production process parameters

The front part is the same as the ordinary PTFE tube.

 

Heat treatment: The process of quenching the dried and sintered pipe after further full sintering at high temperature, the temperature is 390℃±2℃, and the coolant is -5℃.

 

Blowing: At about 310℃, fill the compressed gas below 0.98MPa, the blowing rate is 200%-400%.

 

Main equipment: Blowing machine, other and ordinary PTFE pipe same.

A: Other useful PTFE properties are its high flexural strength, even in low temperatures, high electrical resistance and dielectric strength, resistance to water (owing to fluorine's high electronegativity), and low coefficient of friction. PTFE's density is also very high, at 2200 kg/m3.

Q: Is PTFE heat shrinkable?

A: Designed for reliable insulation, protection, and strain relief, this tubing shrinks in both diameter and length when heated. With a 4:1 shrink ratio, it reduces to a quarter of its original diameter while experiencing minimal length shrinkage (typically less than 7%).

Q: How do you use PTFE heat shrink?

A: Heat Shrinking Guidelines for PTFE Heat Shrink Tubing. Always assure good ventilation in the immediate work area before beginning the heat shrink process. (Caution: Fumes can cause nausea and dizziness). PTFE heat shrink tubing requires approximately 650 °F ± 25 °F (340 °C ± 5 °C) to initiate shrinkage.
