Peel Away Introducer Sheath is used in vascular intervention diagnosis, treatment, and therapy to establish a percutaneous access pathway for guiding catheters, balloon catheters, or other intravascular instruments. The catheter itself has a multi-layer structure, which enhances its resistance to bending, support, and pushing performance. Combined with its tearability, it becomes a large and versatile product.
The first feature is the easy to tear sheath design, which can facilitate medical staff to quickly remove the sheath; The second is that the catheter joint is a handle with anti slip patterns, which facilitates the tearing operation of the sheath tube; The third is the wedge-shaped transition between the dilator and the sheath, which can reduce puncture resistance; The fourth is the locking cap design, which firmly locks the connection between the dilator and the sheath, preventing the dilator from retracting during puncture.

How to use Peel Away Introducer Sheath
● Make a small nick incision at catheter placement site.
● Before introducing the PeelAway catheter needle into the vessel, secure the sheath to prevent it from advancing prematurely. This can be done by holding it at the base of the sheath.
● Insert Peel-Away catheter needle through nick incision into vessel. Advance the unit into the vessel to insure that the sheath as well as the needle is seeded properly.
● Stabilise the needle to prevent it from advancing or retracting.
● Advance the Peel-Away catheter into the vessel by using a slight rotation, side to side, while advancing. The needle can then be removed from the vessel, leaving the Peel-Away catheter as the introduction unit.
● Introduce the intravenous catheter through the Peel-Away catheter into the vessel. Cap and flush the intravenous catheter with heparinised saline to prevent it from clotting.
● Remove catheter by pulling the tabs up and out.
● Secure catheter to animal using sutures and apply triple antibiotic ointment at insertion site. Wrap for additional stabilisation
