Pta Balloon Dilatation Catheter

PTA balloon dilatation catheter may be used in the treatment of various conditions such as peripheral arterial disease, coronary artery disease, and pulmonary artery stenosis. It is a minimally invasive procedure that can often be done on an outpatient basis, allowing patients to return home the same day.

The procedure may involve the following steps:

Before the procedure, the doctor or radiologist will give anesthesia to numb the area where the catheter needs to be inserted.

A small incision is made at the site of the artery to be treated.

The doctor will insert a thin, long tube (catheter) through the incision and advance it until it reaches the narrowed or blocked part of the artery.

A small balloon at the tip of the catheter is then inflated. This inflates the narrowed or blocked artery, opening up space for blood to flow through it.

The balloon is then deflated, and the catheter is removed.

6. Finally, pressure is applied on the incision site to prevent bleeding, and a bandage is applied.

After the procedure, the patient may need to stay in the hospital for a few hours or overnight, depending on the severity of the condition. Recovery generally involves taking rest and not lifting anything heavy for a few days. The doctor may also prescribe medications and instruct follow-up appointments to monitor the progress.

PTA balloon is sorted into two kinds, one is semi-complain, the other is Non-complain, mainly due to the pressure.

Mian size for Balloon diameter is from D=3mm to D=12mm. Balloon Length is from 60mm to 200mm
